My Top 5 Nude Lipsticks- Drugstore & High End

I wanted to share with you all my favourite nude lipsticks, there is such a huge fuss around to get the perfect nude lipstick, I have a large variety in terms of brands so I tried to mix it up to meet all of your budgets, enjoy.

YSL Rouge Volupté Shade 3

This has a a slight sheen to it, it is SO moisturising and comfortable on the lips. The packaging is very luxurious, I love the gold letter printing as well as the way it shows the shade; making it easy to distinguish. The longevity is great for a non matte lipstick. I think this shade will work very well with olive skin tones it is the perfect muted pink shade. The pigmentation is amazing, definitely one of my favourites.

MAC- Mehr

LOOOOOOVE! One of my all time favourite nude Mac lipsticks, it’s a matte finish which I love and a pinky nude. This doesn’t make me look washed out, it’s the my lips but better kind of shade. I would say it’s more pink than mauve in terms of undertone, but I think this lipstick will work well with all skin tones. Now because it’s Mac I don’t even have to go into the longevity and pigmentation as we all know they are amazing. I feel that the formula is better than that of Ruby Woo, which is very drying.

Stila – Patina

So I have this obsession with matte lip lacquers, the matte finish is like no other, it’s super uber matte which I love. This shade has been a recent purchase and has already soared its way to my favourites. The thing I love the most is this lipstick looks great with minimal/no makeup or when ya have your full face on. I like to dab it on very lightly with my fingers when I’m not wearing makeup. It’s dries to a matte finish, it has a doe foot applicator which is very comfortable application.

One thing I dislike is the applicator in my opinion picks up too much product, so I like to use my Real Technique lip brush to apply it. Unlike other matte lipsticks in this form, this is pretty comfortable on the lips and not drying. Make sure to exfoliate your lips before hand, I also recommend using the EOS matte lip balm if your lips get dry.

MUA Velvet Luxe Edition – Tranquility

My word, who knew MUA were going to release these beauties. I am so in love with this range of Lip Lacquers. I usually don’t buy much from MUA, only have two products which I don’t like, but these blew me away. I first purchased one just to try it out as it’s inexpensive, from then on I near enough have the full collection now. The formula is superb for the price as well as the colour pay off, I wish they had a bigger range !!!

I have the Sleek Matte Me which was very drying, but I really liked the colour so I was a little stuck. Now I’ve completely ditched the Matte Me, these are so much more comfortable on the lips in comparison. One thing I have noticed is sometimes they flake away when you rub your lips together.

I wanted to include this nude, as it may work well with those of you with fairer skin tones. However, I for one love mixing lipstick shades & experimenting. I use a little of this to make the lip colour I’m wearing matte, I like the finish better than powder. If you have really dark shades e.g hot pink I feel that this is perfect to make the colour lighter and more wearable for everyday. I like mixing this with brown, pink & dark lipsticks to create the perfect colour.

Color Drama – Nude Perfection

If you’ve seen my Nars Lip Pencil Dupes, you would have come across these. This colour nude is perfect for people with my skin tone, it’s not too pale and doesn’t make you look freaky. The pencil applicator makes it super easy to apply, it has a matte finish and I just love it ! Full Review Here.
