Liz Earle Skincare & Haircare – Review

I wanted to share my experience with these skincare and haircare products that I have been using for the past couple of months. They have different ranges for specific skin types. I have included some packages with discounts !

Cleanse and Polish

I have been using this product for years now and it is too good for me to branch out and try new cleansing products. I am sure you have heard so much about this product, I bought the 200ml this time around which is creamier than the 100ml. More product comes out of the nozzle in comparison but I know this will last me ages ! I use this twice, first I apply it and use a cotton pad to remove my makeup, then I use it again with the muslin cloth. Always cleanse twice !

Instant Boost Skin Tonic

This is a toner that I use after cleansing, I soak a cotton pad with it and use upward motions (remember, we are toning) to remove excess makeup/dirt. This product is amazing it really does get rid of the excess product even after cleansing twice. I have used other toners where after cleansing I barely saw anything comes off onto the cotton pad but with this one you can really see it working ! I have normal/combination skin and this doesn’t make my face tight and dry after using it unlike other toners.

Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion

This is not a lotion, lets start there ! I think the name of this is misleading however, the product is great. It is gentle, non-oily and doesn’t sting! I dislike the smell of this product. I have tried countless eye makeup removers that have irritated my eyes or made the area around my eyes dry. I soak a cotton pad with this and hold it over my eye for a couple of seconds then wipe away. It removes my mascara and even eyeshadow when I am wearing heavier makeup. I do use this twice, because I always have excess eyeliner under my eyes. What I love about this is that it removes the excess eyeliner from under my eyes and my waterline so my dark circles don’t look deathly. I also use this in the morning to refresh my eyes.

Skin Repair Moisturiser

After using all of the products I previously mentioned, I use this light moisturiser for my normal/combination skin. They also have this product for dry skin and other skin types. It says it should be used in the morning and evening after the Instant Boost Skin Tonic. I don’t use this at night because I think it is too light for overnight use. I love applying this before my makeup because it soaks into my skin quickly and leaves me with a nice base to work with. It claims to be a ‘skin repair’ moisturiser which I don’t agree with because it didn’t do any wonders on my skin. This is more of an everyday moisturiser. I will be trying the superskin moisturiser next to see if it is good overnight.

Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask

I use this when my skin feels dry, I keep it on for as long as possible. I don’t like the feel of this mask on my face, it feels really weird ! Neverthless, it does hydrate my skin and give it more life when it looks dull. For my normal skin type I think this does a decent job of keeping my skin hydrated, however, I would not recommend this to people with dry skin. I think the Origins Drink Up Intensive overnight mask is very good, I would recommend that if you have dry skin.

Botanical Shine Shampoo & Conditioner

I have been using these all the time since I have got them. These products have no sulphates so it doesn’t dry out your hair. They are filled with natural products which is great, I think these products are a good start if you’re transitioning into using natural hair care products. I prefer this because I think it’s the perfect in between, it doesn’t make my hair greasy the next day like natural products. I will definitely be repurchasing this because I think it’s a gem in a market filled with chemical shampoos. I have normal hair so I can’t comment on whether this works well with dry hair but you guys definitely should give it a go. After my entire hair care routine (that involves other products) my hair feels soft and looks shiny. I get so many compliments on how great my hair smells since I have been using this!!
